Our Story

San Sab began with one mission.
We wanted to create something different.



Incredible authentic Thai food in a funky, cool and friendly environment.
We wanted to put the Customer back where we believe that they belong – at the centre of all we do.

Our story began when our Management Team came together. A collaboration of great vision, passion, experience and drive. This was fused with the skill and understanding of what it takes to be the best. A perfect synergy of knowing and respecting what true Thai flavours really are, partnered with the experience of creating a successful business that sets new standards.

Our Team of all native Thai chefs is lead by our Head Chef's Nooni and Gop,  Together, they cook everything fresh to order, from scratch. This we promise you, is never compromised. There is no “central kitchen” policy here. Everything is prepared and created on the premises. Our authentic Thai menu comes directly from the traditional recipes learned from generations gone before. We offer nutritious Thai food to suit every type of diner including, gluten free, vegan, low calorie, vegetarian and high protein choices.

We officially fired up our woks in Drumcondra in November 2017 and opened Clontarf to great sucess in 2020 and since then Zoë has steered the Team to acheive and maintain best in class standards.  San Sab is very keen to champion local. We are very proud to support local producers wherever possible. It’s hugely important to us to be involved with and support our local community.  With over 20 years experience, Zoë believes that honesty in what you do is the soul of good business.
